Witness the stunning transformation of a 2023 GMC Yukon through a color change wrap that took automotive customization to new heights. Originally sporting a metallic gold exterior with chrome accents, this Yukon underwent a remarkable makeover at our shop.

The client envisioned a striking green hue for their vehicle, but the desired shade wasn’t readily available. Undeterred, we delved into the realm of customization, opting to print a custom Pantone green color. The outcome surpassed expectations, yielding a military-inspired green with subtle grey undertones.

Not stopping there, the client sought a matte finish and expressed disdain for the chrome trim adorning the windows, grill, roof rack, and panels. We embraced the challenge, offering a chrome delete for the trim, replacing it with a sleek black and orange accent. The choice of orange seamlessly integrated with the client’s corporate logo colors, adding a touch of personalization to the Yukon’s exterior.

Executing such a transformation demanded meticulous attention to detail and expertise. Over the course of seven days, we meticulously washed, prepped, and detailed the vehicle’s exterior. This included removing taillights, headlights, and all badges, which were individually wrapped in black and orange, harmonizing with the overall design scheme.

The chrome delete process proved particularly intricate, requiring precision and patience. The intricacies of the front grill necessitated a piecemeal approach, utilizing inlays and knifeless tape to ensure a seamless finish while protecting the underlying paint and chrome surfaces.

For the custom green and orange hues, our inventory fell short, prompting us to turn to our Epson Surecolor Large Format Printer. After printing the colors, we applied a matte overlaminate, delivering the desired matte aesthetic while enhancing durability.

Wrapping a vehicle of this caliber demanded a methodical approach. We began by dismantling components that could impede the wrapping process, meticulously cleaning the surface to ensure optimal adhesion. Panel by panel, the vinyl was expertly applied, culminating in a flawless finish that breathed new life into the Yukon.

In the end, the transformation was nothing short of remarkable. What began as a metallic gold Yukon emerged as a head-turning masterpiece, showcasing the power of customization and attention to detail.
