South Fork on The Snake River Is A Place You Must Visit In Rexburg Idaho

The Snake River

South Fork on The Snake River is a place you must visit when you come to Rexburg Idaho

Rexburg Idaho’s location is ideal and central for so many outdoor activities in the entire East Idaho areas. One of our favorite’s here at Signify Graphics is the hikes along the Snake River starting from Kelly Canyon through South Fork, Ririe and right up through Lorenzo. The Snake River has an incredible amount of wild life and lots of nature walks to release the everyday stresses of life.

Fishing is one of those weekly activities that one must not let go to waste when living in Idaho. The trout is HOT here! Everything from rainbows, browns, cut throats and many other species native here. Whether fly fishing or a reel, on a boat or on the banks, there is no doubt you’ll catch some beautiful and tasty fresh fish to take home.

The hikes over at Cress Creek at Heise has a wonderful trail that leads up the mountain with spectacular views of the Snake River that will keep you in aww through the whole hike, no matter what time of the year you go! The summer is amazing with the tall cottonwood trees and the river beds wrapping around the bends. The winter is cold but gorgeous with the white untouched snow beds and trees glimmering with frost on every branch. The Fall is a time to be amazed with the postcard views of leaves changing colors. Don’t forget to bring a good camera to capture what your eyes can see. You will not want to forget these wonderful memories.

If you come to visit East Idaho, whether you’re staying in Rexburg, Rigby, St. Anthony or Idaho Falls, you MUST NOT leave without visiting the surrounding areas of the South Fork Snake River. It is a great place to bring the whole family and enjoy everything nature has to offer. Rexburg is a small town, but it is growing quite rapidly and bringing in more accommodations for tourists year round.

One of the least expensive places to stay in Rexburg Idaho is Super 8 hotel. It’s an old building in and out, but the indoor pool really makes the stay worthwhile with kids. There is a Quality Inn which is a lot newer and cleaner looking. The next level up from those would be the Springhill by Marriot and AmericInn which will very likely be more expensive.

The last but not least alternative to staying in the area, which I don’t want to pass up in mentioning is AirBNB. Lots of people who come to Yellowstone find that Rexburg is the closest big city to Yellowstone National Park. Hotels and motels obviously have very limited space and the spring and summer are the busiest times of the year for Yellowstone. So AIRBNB is a great alternative that not many people think of. So, I want to share this little resource with you in case you are thinking about coming to this side of the state and you’re looking for a place to stay, AIRBNB!!! don’t pass it up!
